"Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. For we are each responsible for our own conduct... Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith."
Gal 6:4-5,7-10 (NLT)
This verse is such an encouragement and a BIG reminder to to me :) Somehow it reminds me that God is not blind. He definitely sees. And part of our walk in faith is to continue doing His will; to continue doing what is right before Him; to continue being excellent in our workplace even if sometimes we just don’t see things paying off and in spite of the stress the world puts on our lives. It also reminds me to not compare myself with others, but to just do my part in doing my best where He has placed me. It’s not easy to walk in faith, (and there would definitely be days when I don’t feel like being my best at all) but in His perfect time, we will definitely reap what we sow :)
